Ursula Curran is the daughter of the late San Juan potter Alvin Curran and the prize-winning Santa Clara potter Dolores Curran. She is a tremendously talented potter and painter.
Ursula’s black on black work is detailed and exquisite. She has earned accolades and awards for much of her work. The complexity of this seed bowl is simply outstanding. The avanyu is seen on the top of the bowl, beneath the opening and then look at the many Pueblo designs incorporated on this beautiful shape. Checkerboards, mountains, spiral, feathers, geometrics and more. It is an exquisite miniature – all traditionally made and fired.
