We are so pleased to have Richard’s newest works on this smaller scale than usual. This striking new pieces is hand coiled. He describes it in this way, “Floral spring is influenced by my own ancestral Wendat roots, the incised collar, the form, and adding to that the use of floral quillwork-like patterns found on blackened buckskin pouches, moccasins, and other items. It celebrates the new life in springtime and the reminder that nature moves onwards despite our own human foibles.”

The painted color combinations on this piece so such artistry. It is bold and striking. What a great addition to one’s collection of Richard’s work. Notice the footed bottom of the jar that elevates the shape so beautifully.
