Lita Atencio is an accomplished jeweler from Santo Domingo Pueblo, known for finely crafted traditional heishi and stone bead jewelry. I just met her for the first time at the Heard Museum in Phoenix. I was so impressed by her beautiful work. I was thrilled to add her to our group of gallery artists.

This is a Five Strand rounded Stormy Mountain turquoise necklace. She has added some black jet and coral heishi for contrast and has finished both ends with clam shell Heishi.
