I have been waiting several months for new work from Jody. It was well worth the wait, as the new jars are delightful. Hand coiled, slipped, and polished, and then fired outdoors, they are whimsical and beautiful. I had requested some work with rams, and a village scene, and this is exactly what I got! Five ram move around the jar, with a flying bird overhead. Next to ram is an entire Pueblo village scene. Above and underneath the main imagery, Jody has done detailed incising of her square and linear patterns. Those areas are fully polished. Behind the rams and village are delicate pointillist backgrounds. An asymmetric opening adds visual appeal.
