This is a hand coiled, traditionally fired, free standing male quail. The quail is a small ground-nesting game bird in the pheasant family. They are a popular Southwestern North American game bird. Adult males are rich gray and brown, with a black face outlined with bold white stripes. He sports copper colored feathers on the top of the head. Also notice the cluster of feathers extending from the top of their head. Jennifer has covered this bird with an exceptional amount of details.
