Known for her excellence in depicting birds and animals accurately, this is the first piece we had with Goldfinch. One is immediately attracted to the bold colors on this extremely well-polished black jar. It is hand coiled and fired doors. You can see that the Goldfinches are in flight. Goldfinches fly with a bouncy, undulating pattern and have bright yellow with a black forehead, black wings with white markings. There are white patches both above and beneath the tail. That imagery, along with other Pueblo symbols, work so well on the squared off shape of the jar.
