This wonderful, lidded jar was made in 2004. It is one of the few brown polished pieces she made. There are over TWENTY realistic turtles etched into the clay. They are highlighted with various colors of clay. They are in the water with the water bubbles and waves. She has also incised several fish nearby. The shells of each turtle are different – designs and colors. She made a wonderful black polished lid to fit on top. It has a sculpted turtle as well, with a feather pattern on its back. It’s always fun to see her work, no matter when it was created. It is signed on the bottom, Mike and Jennifer Tafoya Moquino
