Several years ago, Jennifer made me a “big cat plate”. I thought it was time to do another one with that same theme. This new plate is exquisite. The amount of work on it is remarkable. Hand coiled, traditionally fired outside, this is wonderfully designed, incised, and painted. The bob cat in the main medallion looks like he is ready to jump out. And the crouching mountain lion on the top is ready to pounce. Jennifer’s ability to show action in her incised animals is marvelous. The flowers, other Pueblo symbols and colors, and the black and white eagle tails are terrific added details to the piece.
