It’s been quite a long time since we have had a turtle seed pot from Jennifer. It is hand coiled, fired outdoors, and slipped with natural pigments. The workmanship is rather amazing. Somehow Jennifer has managed to incise NINE red ear sliders accurately and precisely. (turtles) on a very small scale. The turtles are in motion, swimming around the seed pot. The red-eared slider or red-eared terrapin is a subspecies of the pond slider, a semiaquatic turtle belonging to the family Emydidae. It is the most popular pet turtle in the United States and is also popular as a pet across the rest of the world and is the most invasive turtle. They look very special in movement. As always, Jennifer’s realistic depiction of these reptiles is outstanding. What a fabulous miniature!
