Ida has been working on a series of clay tiles for us. Each one is different, and each one depicts part of the Navajo ceremonial experiences. They are all done with all natural materials – the clay, the pigments and slips, and the firings. Each one has the titles on the back – naming the images she has painted. They look wonderful individually or as a group.

This one is called “The Four Sacred Frogs” with Four Sacred Plants. The design is taken from a sandpainting used when there is drought on Mother Earth. The plants are corn, tobacco, squash, and beans.
