This new vase is hand coiled and traditionally fired outdoors. Harrison is depicting the Navajo Yei figure as the central theme. What’s beautiful and unique is that he has carved feathers radiating from that image. Polishing the tips of the feathers and leaving the bottoms a matte finish, add to the beauty of this design. There are deep carved geometric shapes flowing around the entire vase. Most of the piece is highly polished to a high sheen. He has left certain areas matte, showing emphasis on the polished designs.
