This is a new shape and form for Glendora, and I love it. The soft cuts on the opening are such subtle curves, accented so attractively with the bronze painting. I asked for a dragonfly theme, and this new jar has four dragonflies, on all four sides of the jar. On the top area, below the rim are three flowers, delicately accented with red coral dots. Glendora was careful to choose just the right red tone for the coral she was adding. A combination of incised work and painting strikes the right balance. Bronzes, coppers, and silver tones are painted with acrylics. Her skill at painting her images to fit the shape of the piece is always well conceived. It’s a really lovely jar.
