This is a lovely creation from Erik (made in the early 2010’s). It is hand coiled, slipped with natural pigments and fired outside. Erik has used a green slip as accent. This is a prayer bowl, with painted petroglyph designs. When you look inside, you can see sparkly mica on the black background. Using the green slip, Erik has painted various petroglyph images. The outside is polished black – to a very smooth sheen. More green slipped geometrics and Pueblo symbols are beautifully painted, covering the whole surface of the open bowl. It is signed on the bottom, with his Tewa name – Than Tside’h
