It is nice to have a mini black polished and slipped jar of Dolores’ to show. Like in all her work, this piece was hand coiled, slipped with natural pigments and fired outside. In the center of the jar, she has incised an avanyu. Above and below are clouds, mountains, and other Pueblo symbols. Dolores sculpted a tiny black micaceous bear to act as a tight fitting stopper. Made in 2018, it is exquisite. It is signed on the bottom, (Dolores Curran Santa Clara Pueblo.)
