This lidded jar is magnificent. The jar is hand coiled, deeply carved, stone polished and traditionally fired black outdoors. Made in 2010, when Chris was 21 years old, it features a stately eagle on one side, and another Pueblo parrot on the other side. Above the parrot are carved bands which represent the rainbow. Circular spirals separate the birds. Chris has made a lid that sits perfectly into the rim. It is signed on the bottom in the clay “Chris Youngblood 2010” This is such a terrific example of the high level of skills that Chris achieves – coiling, carving, designing, firing, and polishing. It’s exciting to exhibit such a lovely piece.

7 ½” high (with the lid) by 4” wide
