We are always so impressed with the carving, polishing, and design work on Autumn’s pieces. This creative bowl, made in 2004, is simply gorgeous. The combination of the floral images, clouds, and dragonflies work so well together, as you move the piece around. Everything really flows. There is a lovely balance between the highly polished deep red, and the orangish/tan matte areas. Notice the added sparkly mica on the dragonfly wings. You can almost imagine them in flight. Autumn has carved a magnificent row of leaves moving to the bottom of the bowl – They form a beautiful pattern, all the way down to the signature. The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Autumn Borts, Santa Clara Pueblo, 2004”.
