I feel so fortunate to be working directly with Allen Aragon. He is such a remarkable talent. This new piece is a handmade sterling silver necklace (double twisted silver) with an incredibly detailed pendant – hand stamped and painted clays. It is kiln fired with underglaze, and then fired and embedded onto the silver. The detailed painting is extraordinary. Using Native symbols, this is a stunning creation. This pendant portrays a rainbow Navajo Yei bichei (Yébîchai). The silverwork around the painted clays, is also elaborate with seven raised dots of silver as a lower border, and three more on top. Added flowing silver work on both sides of the pendant add to tis beauty. It is meant to be worn as a choker.
