3 ¼” high by 4 ½” wide

There is something so special about this small, beautiful new bowl by Johnathan. I think I was attracted to the design work – the incising of the realistic deer in between the actual deer dancers. Each deer, and each dancer is in a different position. Standing up, bending over, heads up and down…they seem to work so well as a picture he has painted. What is very creative, is incising those figures on top of the carved band of geometrics and Native symbols. It creates a 3D effect. This bowl is hand coiled, using all traditional materials and techniques and fired outside. The stair stepped carved neck goes so well with the rest of the design work. The bowl is a deep chocolate brown.
