5 ½” high by 6 ¼” wide

This new jar is quite unusual. We haven’t had these coloration tones from Jody before now. The top of the jar is polished and fired to a deep brown, but the bottom of the jar is a little different. It actually looks greyish and brown. It blends very well with the tan matte clay we see under the band with the polished and incised fish. Each fish is different in shape and design. They make a beautiful collage of fish, set above the two tone polished curved lines around the body. Except for that one band with the exposed clay, the jar is fully polished from top to bottom. The scalloped carve lip, particularly the way it is polished of the edges, adds extra visual appeal.
