2” high by 3 ¾” wide by 1 ½” deep

We have not had this beautiful coiled and incised bird from Jennifer before now. It is called a stellar’ s jay. The Steller’s jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) is a jay native to western North America, closely related to the blue jay found in the rest of the continent, but with a black head and upper body. It is also known as the long-crested jay, mountain jay, and pine jay. It is the only crested jay west of the Rocky Mountains. Look at how detailed and magnificently painted it is. When I saw it, I told Jenn that I really liked the way the head is turned to one side, as if he is looking right at us! Precision is what Jennifer always achieves, and this jay is no exception.
