This is a wonderful, hand coiled traditionally fired and painted shallow bowl by Erik Fender. His design work features feathers, and geometrics. Erik explained, “The feather design is to represent the sun, and the geometrics are rain clouds blowing in the wind.” Erik carved an avanyu on the backside of the bowl. The painting is tight, and precise, and the firing is terrific.
