This beautiful bowl shows one of her favorite designs – the appliqued corn cob with husks. The corn is a symbol of her family clan. The husks are angled and sharp edged, while the corn is elevated from the surface of the pot and textured. The opening is gently asymmetrical. Iris is no longer making pottery, but her work remains sought after and classic. This piece is signed on the bottom in the clay and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. (circa 2001)
