Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration created these impressive earrings in his signature maiden style, using both turquoise and sterling silver. Each earring features a large, triangular turquoise stone making up each maiden’s body, set in a simple sterling silver bezel and surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern. Each stone is blue in color and contains portions of brown and tan matrix, and hangs from a detailed maiden head, complete with deeply grooved rectangular eyes and a round, appliqued mouth. Each forehead is stamped with fine lines, and each head finished with appliqued sterling silver buns on each side, also stamped with fine lines, representing hair.
