Harrison Begay Jr.

Harrison is one of those potters that never rests on his laurels. He continues to try new forms, shapes and designs. Still working in the black polished and matte contrasts, this piece shows some new symbolic work and imagery. Using dragonflies, butterflies, spirals, and swirls, he has set those against a background of contemporary geometric carvings. The completed piece works so well in terms of composition. The firing is magnificent, with various areas of gun metal showing.
